How to put fingers on the bass strings ?

Considering you are right-hander:

Right hand:

The thumb can be on a string, or on the micro of the instrument. I prefer personally put my thumb on a string, to avoid happening strings resonance happening

Index finger and middle finder: to alternate each other (some bassists play also with the ring finger)

Left hand:
The position of your thumbs is very important! Don't neglect it!
